Training offer

Electrician

With the progressing electricity in Benin, the demand for well-trained electricians for the installation and maintenance of electrical devices rapidly increases. This profession is essential for the countries economic progress. Connecting single households and public administration buildings to the network or solar panels is an integral part for bringing better life to millions of people.

Electricity not only helps people using longer periods per day productively for work and learning, but but also the application of modern work means like computers, internet, production machines and electrical tools is only possible once they are correctly connected.

And even for the conservation and preparation of food there are many new possibilities. Only when electricity is reliable and constantly available for large areas, many people can be lifted out of poverty and start a better life.

Among the main tasks of an electrician are

  • Connection and maintenance of sanitary complexes and water pumps
  • Electrical cabling of houses and buildings
  • Removing electrical problems on machines
  • Connecting electrical components and installing systems for power generation (e.g. solar panels)
  • Conception and application of circuits

Students are trained for 3 years in the art of electrical installations. The theoretical training will be complemented by many practical exercises .

During various projects they can gradually improve their capacities. At CFL, we do all electrical installations on our premises ourselves.

Moreover, CFL connects different products and lay the conduits in buildings for our external clients. In this way students get to know all important subjects in the field of electrical installation.

The subject-specific focuses of the training are

  • Technological basics (mathematics, power supply, mechanics, electro chemistry)
  • Technical documentation (installation schemes, pump commands, divers circuits)
  • Processing technology (materials science, work safety & organization)
  • Sanitary techniques
  • System techniques (series connection & parallel connection, heating and cooling devices, solar panels, transformers, magnetic fields and engines)
