Options to support our work

Volunteering in Benin

Are you a teacher, mechanic, bricklayer, electrician or simply want to make a contribution to sustainable development aid? Since the beginning, a large number of volunteers have contributed to making the CFL what it is today – far more than just a dream! There are various opportunities for volunteering with us. All help is welcome. Working at the CFL is guaranteed to be a benefit for you too. In addition to working in an intercultural environment, you can apply your own skills and knowledge in theory and practice and strengthen your social skills. A minimum placement period of 3 months and French language skills are required. Participation in the “Weltwärts” program is possible for people up to the age of 28.

Are you interested? Contact us directly with no obligation!

Civil service (Switzerland only)

Do you want to do more than mow the lawn or drive a cab? Would you like to gain an exciting experience abroad? Do your community service with us as a mechanic, bricklayer or electronics technician. Numerous civilians who have already helped us can confirm that working at the CFL is challenging and rewarding for both sides. You are guaranteed not to get bored with us and working in a foreign country also offers you the opportunity to develop yourself further.

Want to find out more? Then search for job specifications (“Liweitari”)!

Participate in our activities

You are cordially invited to participate in our events, whose contributions benefit the CFL with its subordinate projects EPAL and the elementary school.

Anyone can take part. We regularly offer activities in Switzerland and Germany in which you can participate. There are many opportunities to actively participate or simply support the projects by coming along.

Do you have an idea for an event yourself? Great, just get in touch with our board members for the implementation (contact Switzerland; contact Germany).

Become a member / Take on a sponsorship

Would you like to work with us on a regular basis? Become a member of the Liweitari Association or the Liweitari Circle of Friends and help us to do good. You are also welcome to sponsor a child in the elementary school or an apprentice in the training center.

Cooperation (for other associations)

Are you a leading member of a charitable association or would you like to support sustainable projects with your association? Let’s work together to give disadvantaged people a chance. Because “a dream dreamed alone remains a dream. A dream dreamed by many becomes reality” (Dom Helder Camara).

Please contact us directly if you are interested in working with us (Contact SwitzerlandContact Germany).

Donation of materials

Since the beginning of our association’s work, we have already been able to fill several shipping containers with materials and send them to Benin. As a result, the CFL is well equipped with machines and working materials. Nevertheless, we are grateful for all materials that are useful in the context of excellent theoretical and, above all, practical training.

If you would like to support the CFL with tools, clothes, machines or the like, please contact us. We are happy to receive good material, which we load into containers and send to Benin. Together we contribute to the success of the training.

Donations

Around 50% of our CFL, EPAL and primary/primary school projects are self-financed through work for public or private clients, primarily in the areas of bricklaying, polymechanics and electrics. The training of an apprentice costs around CHF 1,320 or € 1,250. However, in order to give young people from poor backgrounds the opportunity to complete an apprenticeship, each apprentice only pays a personal contribution of CHF 240 or € 225. In addition, there are personnel costs for the CFL staff and materials for the training and the construction/extension of the training buildings.

We rely on donations to cover the remaining 50% of the costs. Would you like to help maintain the regular operation of the projects? You are welcome to transfer an amount of your choice with the desired purpose to our donation accounts in Germany or Switzerland. You can be sure that 100% of the money will flow into the projects and help to give the poorest people a chance. Of course, you will also receive a donation receipt at the end of the year.

The apprentices at CFL in Benin are already grateful to you.
