Electrician

With the advancement of electricity in Benin, the need for good electricians to install and maintain electrical systems is increasing rapidly. The profession plays a crucial role in the country’s economic progress. Electrification of individual households and public administration buildings is an integral part of ensuring a better life for millions of people.

Not only does electricity allow significantly longer periods of time per day to be used productively for work and learning, but the use of modern work equipment such as PCs, the internet, production machines and electrical tools is only made possible by a proper electrical connection.

And there are also new possibilities for preserving and preparing food. Only if there is widespread, reliable coverage with electricity can many people be lifted out of poverty and start a better life. This is why electricians are so important for the whole country.

The main tasks of an electrician are:

  • Connection and maintenance of sanitary facilities and water pumps
  • Electrical wiring of houses and building complexes
  • Troubleshooting electrical problems on machines
  • Connecting electrical components and installing energy generation systems (e.g. photovoltaics)
  • Design and application of switching systems

You will be taught the art of electrical installation for 3 years.

The theoretical training is supplemented by many practical tasks. You will be able to continuously improve your skills as part of various projects.

We carry out all electrical installations on our premises ourselves. We also wire various buildings and products for external clients. This will teach you all the important aspects of electrical installation.

The specialist focal points of the training are:

  • Technological basics (mathematics, electricity network theory, mechanics, electrochemistry)
  • Technical documentation (installation plans, pump controls, various circuits)
  • Processing technology (materials science, occupational safety & organization)
  • Sanitary engineering
  • System technology (series & parallel connection, heating & cooling devices, photovoltaics, transformers & magnetic fields, motors)
