Training offer

Polymechanic

There are many different career opportunities for polymechanics. The increased use of mechanical and technical processes not only helps in the manufacture of high-quality products and repairs, but also creates numerous jobs for qualified specialists.

Without well-trained mechanics, economic progress is hardly possible. They ensure that all types of machinery perform their duties properly and that steel structures are made to fit. The work of a polymechanic is very extensive and offers a lot of variety.

While metal construction is primarily dedicated to the construction of components such as doors and furniture, mechanics ensure that production machines run properly by repairing and manufacturing suitable parts. Polymechanics therefore make an essential contribution to the country’s development by providing the basic requirements for efficient and effective work.

The main tasks of a polymechanic are:

  • Cutting and assembling steel parts
  • Production of steel structures (e.g. furniture, doors, windows)
  • Planning and production of machine components
  • Analysis and repair of defective machines

You will receive 4 years of comprehensive training in polymechanics. You will receive theoretical and practical training in both metal construction and mechanics.

You will be able to apply the skills you have learned on an ongoing basis in various internal projects and as part of customer orders, allowing you to constantly improve your skills.

Thanks to our wide range of machines for various processes, you will gain experience in all important aspects of metalworking and parts production and will be able to apply these in practice.

The specialist focal points of the training are:

  • Metal science (properties of materials such as aluminum, iron and steel)
  • Mathematics (surface & volume calculation)
  • Construction technology (production of windows, doors, gates, furniture and scaffolding)
  • Metalworking (measuring, cutting, welding)
  • Production of components (measuring, grinding, milling, drilling, turning)
  • Fault analysis on defective machines and components
  • Technical drawing
